Advancing the World-class Nechalacho REE Project, NWT, Canada

About Vital Metals

Vital Metals (ASX: VML) is primarily focused on developing and exploring the Nechalacho Rare Earth and Niobium Project in Northwest Territories, Canada.

A Tardiff Scoping Study defined an initial 11-year project that mines only 15% of the Tardiff Mineral Resource Estimate, producing a light rare earth (LREO) concentrate. The concentrate also contains other potentially payable metals and the economic recovery of niobium will be a target for further studies.

Tardiff is one of the largest, highest-grade rare earth deposits globally. The host magmatic mineralised system outcrops and is endowed with one of the highest proportions of neodymium + praseodymium (NdPr) balanced against its total rare earths content. These elements, along with niobium, are essential ingredients for applications in the world’s transitional to a technology-driven, low emissions future.

Tardiff has a Measured & Indicated Mineral Resource of 192.7 million tonnes at 1.3% TREO, containing 2.5 million tonnes of TREO and more than 636,000 tonnes of NdPr, plus 578,000 tonnes niobium oxide (Nb2O5), as announced January 2025.

The Tardiff deposit offers scalability due it is size and shallow nature and consequent low-strip ratio- with the potential for an extended operating life delivering Rare Earths and Niobium into a saleable concentrate.

Vital is now progressing to a Pre-Feasibility Study for the Tardiff deposit, which is on target for completion in 2026.
